Like fingerprints, ingredients may look alike in many ways, but vary in their unique nutrient profile. And the closer you look, the more differences you see. That’s the idea behind the REVEAL system

The REVEAL system delivers software calibrated to measure nutrients using NIR (near-infrared reflectance) instruments, along with Internet access to the Cargill global system. This connection results in accurate, real-time measure of many nutrients including a few such as Protein, Fat, Fiber, NDF, ADF, and Ash, along with moisture. The REVEAL system enables various NIR instruments, although the Feed Forage Analyzer 5000 or InfraXact Lab NIR Analyzer, are preferred from FOSS NIRSystems, Inc.
Besides the REVEAL system, several other processes are available to determine the nutrient supply, including the OVSdbä system (i.e. Optimum Value Supplier database) and AutoCalc® system. Each unique system can work alone or together to support real-time ingredient decisions or diet formulation. For example, the REVEAL system measures nutrients in ingredients, while the OVSdbä system summarizes nutrient suppliers and the AutoCalc® system completes the nutrient profile.
